Boys Conditioning

The Bees Lacrosse boys' program is offering a strength and conditioning program for the 2025 preseason. The program will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting February 11 and ending on March 20 for a total of 12 sessions.  Each session will be 50 minutes long and will take place at the Brecksville United Methodist Church in the Fellowship Hall. The church is located at 65 Public Square in Brecksville. Parking is available at the back of the church.


The program cost is $160/player for all 12 sessions. This covers the venue rental and the trainer’s fees. Unfortunately, we are unable to operate the program on an A’ la Carte day-by-day basis, due to the greatly reduced pre-paid operation costs of the facility and its trainers. The overall fee equates to just over $13 per session, which is less than you would pay for most other programs. This is an opportunity for players to work out implementing lacrosse focused exercises. You will not need your lax gear for these workouts unless the trainer specifies it and it would possibly be your sticks at most.


The program will be operated by Coach Matt Peters and his team. Coach Peters’ experience as a student-athlete, coach, and trainer is well-known to NE Ohio Lacrosse (see brief biography below). A former Brecksville Boys Varsity Lacrosse Head Coach, Coach Peters vacated the position due to a growing family and desire for training student-athletes


COACH PETERS BIO:

-High School and Collegiate Lacrosse Athlete

-High School Head Coach: 7 years

-North Coast League Coach of the Year

-Suburban League COTY/League Champion

-Turned BBHHS from a 1-win and 0-Win season to a 13-Win season in his 1st year.

-Collegiate Lacrosse Coach and Recruiter

-Nearly a decade of Fall/Winter programming through Cleveland Suburban Lacrosse

-Private Personal Trainer for 13 years (working with High School, College, Pro athletes) 

-Developed Strength Training and Conditioning Routines for multiple collegiate and high school lacrosse programs

-Master’s degree and multiple certifications in the field


Schedule for Tuesdays and Thursdays:

·        Grades 3/4: 5:30-6:20 PM

·        Grades 5/6: 6:30-7:20 PM

·        Grades 7/8: 7:30-8:20 PM


Frequently Asked Questions

Is this only for lacrosse players?

It is only for lacrosse players since the training is going to be focused to exercise to strengthen the player for lacrosse. Also since this is a Bees Youth Lacrosse program it is only open to Bees players.
