Boy's Spring Registration

Welcome to the spring season for the Bees Youth Lacrosse! Registration is open for our three age groups:

Bantam (grades 3 & 4)

Youth (grades 5 & 6)

Middle School (grades 7 & 8)

Make sure to read the information below on the upcoming spring season. It includes uniform and some schedule information as well answers some frequently asked questions. You can register for the season via the link on the right.

A spring Parents Meeting will be held at the Brecksville Recreation Center's Community Room for the Boys program on December 10, 2024 from 7-9pm. This meeting is "mandatory" for new players' parents and highly encouraged for returning parents. There will be representatives from each of the coaching staffs to convey information on the season as well additional details. This is a great time to meet the staff, ask questions and offer up your help. There will be an opportunity to try on uniforms for sizing.

Registration Information

Registration for the fall season is $385. This includes indoor practices in January and February, field time March through May, referee fees, league fees, tournament registrations and team equipment like balls, goals, etc.

We have changed our insurance carrier this year. Previously we had procured our player insurance through US Lacrosse. Using them required us to have each player register under US Lacrosse which was a fee of $35/player. Our new insurance carrier can give us a cheaper rate per player, so we can pass some of that savings to each player regarding your overall fall costs. The insurance will be for the entire year spanning August this year to August next year.

If you registered for the preceding Fall we will be issuing a $10 discount code for those players that participate in both the fall and the spring to make sure you are not paying the insurance costs twice

Uniforms

The Boys will wear the Club's Spring red and white pinnies for the fall. Players that have not played in the spring before will get a uniform included with their registration. If any returning players need new uniforms please visit the store. During registration you will be able to add information about new player uniforms and also order uniform pieces for returning players

Where & When

We will be practicing indoors on Fridays starting January 10. This will run for 8 weeks and end on February 28. The indoor practices will be held at Pinnacle Sports Fairlawn/Medina (313 Medina Rd, Medina) and at the North Olmsted Rec Center (26000 Lorain Road, North Olmsted). The times and locations for each team are as follows:

  • Bantam (3/4 grade) - Pinnacle 6pm to 7:30pm
  • Youth (5/6 grade) - Pinnacle 7:30pm to 9pm
  • Middle School (7/8 grade) - North Olmsted 7pm - 9pm

Outdoor practices will begin once the weather breaks which is typically late February/early March and will continue until the end of the season. These will take place at multiple locations in Brecksville including:

  • Blossom Turf Field - 4400 Oaks Road
  • Julie Billiart School (old Chippewa Elementary School) - 8611 Wiese Road
  • Old Stadium Fields - 6919 Stadium Drive

Each age group will multiple practices throughout the week once we are able to get outside. Practices will be more frequent prior to when games start and will lessen as games take up some of those days. Coaches will let you know the days and times and if there are additional locations.

Games & Tournaments

Games will typically start in the beginning of April and continue through the end of May. The goal is to get one game in per week throughout the season but there may be weeks where two are scheduled due to rescheduled games due to weather and other scheduling issues. Home games will likely be at one of the practice locations. Away games will be at various schools in Northeast Ohio

We will typically play three to four tournaments as well. These are typically one day events. The tournaments are within an hour drive at locations such as the Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Sports Force park in Sandusky, and Hudson. There may be a couple travel tournaments for specific teams in Columbus but your coaching staff will discuss those or anything additional prior to scheduling them

Frequently Asked Questions

Can my son "play up"?

For the Bantam we do have some players younger than 3rd grade participate with the team. These players should be able to pay attention and be able to take direction from coaches. Please check with the coach or program director to make sure its appropriate for your son to "play up". For the Youth and Middle School teams it will be a program decision to have a player play up. Typically this is based on need and tied more to goalies.

For players in 1st and 2nd grade we will have our Stingers program please click the link below for more information.

Do we have to be at every practice?

We have multiple practices throughout the week at varying times and locations to help with scheduling conflicts. Although we know players may have other sports and conflicts during the season, we ask players to attend as many of the practices as possible. For players that are playing on the A team within an age group, we ask that they try to limit the absences to a greater degree. Additionally, we ask players to limit absences two weeks prior to the larger tournaments. For those playing on the older teams, absences due to other sports’ conflicts should be fewer. If the commitment level is an issue, please talk to the proper age groups coach as there may be ways to work through the issue.

What else should I know?
