About Us

The Brecksville-Broadview Heights Youth Lacrosse Club was formed in 2012 by Brian Kluth, Craig Gyory and Jon Philipp. The Club fielded a Middle School Team in 2013 and added a Youth Team in 2014. The Club plans to add a Bantam Team for the 2015 spring season.

The Club is community based, and is a Member of the Cuyahoga Valle Youth Organization. The Middle School Team is closely affiliated with the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Middle School amd plays all of its home games on the BBH High School turf. The Youth and Bantam Teams are open to any child residing within the BBH School District and in neighboring communities that are not supported by a Lacrosse Club.

The Club was comprised of 52 young men in the Youth and Middle School Divisions for the 2014 season and expects to increase its membership to 75 players next spring. The Club's philosophy is to promote the sport of Lacrosse and encourage development of fundamental skills in a fun environment with coaching through positive reinforcement. Quite simply, the measure of success for the Club is the number of players that continue with the sport.

The Club is run by an Executive Committee with guidance from a Parents Advisory Committee. The Executive Committee is comprised of Jon Philipp, Brian Kluth and Gary Vidovic. The Parents Advisory Committee is comprised of Tracey Horn, Brett Kimball, Jim Kothe, and Melinda Ward as well as the Executive Committee Members.
